October 4, 2024 — Symptom Relief/The Search for Truth
[12 pages]
In week 5, we’ll read a more recent paper by Glen Gabbard and Thomas Ogden, in which the authors address the aims of psychoanalysis, which have much more to do with searching for the truth of oneself than they do with the alleviation of symptoms. We will focus our discussion on the concepts of dreaming and psychoanalytic process.
