A Time to Remember, Celebrate, and Be Together
November 16, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We invite you to join us for a special gathering to honor and share stories about our dear colleague, Maxine Anderson, whose kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion as a teacher, writer and influence has touched countless lives at SPSI almost since its inception.
Recently Maxine informed her friends and colleagues at NPSI that she is suffering from ALS, and currently resides in a rehabilitation facility. As Maxine faces this serious illness, let us come together to share memories, offer our support, and celebrate the profound impact she has had on our community.
We will have the privilege of watching a video of a heartfelt letter Maxine wishes to share with us, read by Rikki Ricard. She has also prepared a video in which she will share a few direct words for us, making this occasion all the more personal and meaningful.
In turn, we will have the opportunity to record our responses, messages, and reflections for Maxine, so she may know how deeply she is loved and respected by us all.
Date: Sunday, November 16th
Time: 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Location: SPSI Office – 1938 Fairview Ave. E., Suite 100, Seattle WA

This gathering may be attended in person at SPSI or virtually by Zoom, so everyone can participate in the way that feels most comfortable.
This gathering is an opportunity for us to express our gratitude, share stories, and surround Maxine and her loved ones with SPSI’s gratitude, warmth and strength. All are welcome—please bring your memories, your wishes, and your presence as we honor someone who has meant much to us over the years.
Please RSVP below so we can provide adequate refreshments.
We hope you can join us for this meaningful occasion.
